If I were to share the two decades of my youth and the challenges I’ve been through, this post may not be able to encapsulate them.
However, I want to point out briefly a few critical potential consequences if you plan to continue to stay where you are.
What I have listed here, I confess experiencing a majority of it.
- Prolonged or complicated crisis: derailment of my career, despite a successful stint in the IT sector, due to the support I refuse out of a vague unknown fear of being exposed.
- Difficulty managing emotions: Constant feedback in performance appraisal about being brutally straightforward forward leading to all bridges burned in the name of speaking my mind!
- Social isolation: I was always an outsider; the excuse I had was that I was an introvert, and on purpose, I would choose to stay out of groups, both in personal and professional spaces; doing this kept me away from meaningful connections.
- Harmful coping mechanisms: Trying to find a solution through a trial-and-error experiment with myself and, according to some self-assumptions, which resulted in being caught up in an ongoing vicious cycle of stress.
- Relationship strain: exploited, abused and betrayed, yet clung on to organizations, people, and relations for the inner wounded child was afraid and refused to let go!
Present day today
I have mostly healed and transformed, made peace with my share of destiny and continue to accept in small bite-size pieces things that I could never fully resolve.
Possible only through help and support by investing in myself via life coaching
I do not want anything to get repeated for you, so if you find what you read similar to your experience, I invite you to embark with me on a journey of self and let’s talk.
