Resentment, a multilayered emotion.

Resentment is a hidden emotion. Unlike Trauma it does not hold triggers, however the feelings are stashed in a remote corner of the mind, sometimes forever.

It holds us back and hinders our ability to forgive and let go of.

As if one seeks an apology, while the other is completely oblivious to the one seeking it.

Like most of our feelings and emotions, resentments reside in our nervous system and weigh heavily on our mental health.

One of the key dangers of living with unresolved resentment is that it can easily make us bias, have a tunnel vision and also at times, prevent us from giving ourselves the permission to look beyond the obvious, pushing us in the depths of subjectivity, completely missing out on the core issue.

No wonder, most of us find ourselves at times stuck with our past and people so intensely, that our present and future bear the consequence and are compromised.

So, if you are looking to lighten your load, the very first thing you can do is to learn a smart way of forgiving.

Here’s a meditation from my channel heal yourself series.

Pro tip ; Always begin with “FORGIVING” yourself .

In addition to this, here’s a blog post with an anecdote and few practical tips that could help, if you are looking to learn more ways to heal your resentments.
