Any attachments to objects was something I have left the day COVID was titled as a Pandemic and the world was shut down imposing lock down.
On one such chaotic evening ,I realized when a catastrophe engulfed the world, we all (by this I mean all of us) rushed to only the basics –The food ,clothing and shelter , beside this there was no fourth need anyone was thinking in terms of objects.
For me ,
It was also a time when my father was very unwell ,he passed away a year later and during this very emotionally distressing period, if I wish or need objects was only a steady flow of daily perishables food to our house for self and my aged parents.
When I lost my father , the very little attachments to objects turned null.
Having borne such loss, objects in comparison became way too trivial,and everything seemed so paltry.
COVID taught me a lot of lessons on non attachments to objects and how trivial all are in the largess of life.
Post COVID I actually have no attachment to any materialistic stuff,even though I do possess very expensive mobiles to lot many other things, however the usage is as per utility and in case anything is lost ,stolen or damaged ,I find no problem in replacing it ,therefore there is no such thing I couldn’t live without.
However to answer this question
The three objects I couldn’t live without are as follows.
My watch: Time could be a complex phenomenon by the definition of various Physicist, but for me is the essence and I need my time piece to stay connected to the various activities of my life , from the mundane to the epiphanies it unfolds! the humble time piece helps me track all including those moments in which I just live and do nothing.
My journal : A place that I have lived most authentically without fear and a space that has always left me with clarity,awareness and new found wisdom. It is a home I often visit to meet me and have always enjoyed my homecoming.
My Lenovo AIO-All in One Desktop : through which I carry out my work as an Coach ,coaching online. It occupies a lot of space in my office , through which I connect in the digital world, serve and create.
