Just before the year ends

There was a time in my life, when I would constantly remain in an analytical mode, constantly comparing myself to each of my cousins, friends, colleagues, and acquaintances, trying hard to follow trends that never resonated with my personal values, yet to appease people, to be part of a majority of the crowd.

I would wear a mask, stay put, and never bothered to check in what I wanted, or I felt like doing.

Result = From my teenage years to my mid-30s,

I lived two decades of my life in a constant search of that one fine day when I would feel happy or content!

The day never came, but time flew past and very fast.

Next,

Then like all good stories, my life had some really good people entering in, and with the support and assistance of my coach and my own inner self, who refused to wear the mask anymore, I found myself, taking that leap of faith, investing a huge portion of my savings into establishing my business and remaining into set of coaches and mentors who taught me the right approach to life.

Results ;

This deep work not only helped me heal my traumas and grief, but decoded the secret of happiness, for my life.

I realized how Life is in the now, the very present moment and not in the bygone past or an uncertain future, how little joys of moments matter, and how joy is embedded in the little things of our ordinary everyday life.

As I came closer and closer to my inner self, it became easier to savor, enjoy and live in the present, along with a huge relief to let go of the burden of

being what; I was not.

As of today,

I find myself in one of the best spaces of my life, more inwardly happy, satisfied, and content with a thriving coaching business and the rewarding experience of transforming so many lives.

You could be here too.

As we come to close the year, you may or may not be on an exotic holiday, or vacationing with family or friends, you may also not be someone who believes in being part of crazy crowds and partying.

While none of the above that I cited is wrong, just like me, if you feel, you do not belong here, it’s absolutely normal and fine, “remember you are not alone“, and what you want, and your sense of enjoyment matters as much as what the majority wants.

What next,

To make things easy for you, which will help you decode your secret to happiness.

Here are some of the things that you could do in these last few days of the year, feel free to add your own to the list.

  • Recall what brings a smile to your face, keep smiling 🙂
  • Let go of people and beliefs that no longer serve you
  • Eat that extra cake or your favorite sweet, without hesitation
  • Sleep a little longer
  • Binge on your favorite show or snacks
  • Do some random act of kindness
  • Don’t plan, flow with time and life!

Closing the last blog post of 2023 with these 3 takeaways

Number one – is an attitudinal approach my meditation teacher once taught me, which has helped me change my attitude towards challenges of life in profound ways, which was to coast, at times of stress and worry and practice this priceless adage “Nowhere to go, nothing to do, Just Be”!

Number Two – As we let go, let’s also pledge at an individual level to carry with us in the coming year, and infuse ourselves with self-care, self-compassion and kindness and then extend it possibly to everyone around us, through this let’s come together and contribute in our own humble ways making it a more tolerant, compassion and kind world, something we all are in dire need of.

Number Three – Our planet Earth we inherit, is going through perhaps a very chaotic phase of change, both geographically and socially impacting each one of us in myriad ways, so let’s start the coming New Year in the name of Almighty with a prayer of well-being for all, hoping the coming time brings peace, health, prosperity, and well-being for everyone. Ameen!

Here’s wishing you all a very Happy New 2024
