This entire month, I’ve shared posts in a series assisting you in understanding what makes you an over-giver, to the unconscious expectations that follow after over-giving, and then the complex feeling of resentment present after giving, each post designed to take you one inch closer to your inner self.
I now intend to close this month by letting you know you can give with abundance and yet have nothing less.
My story as a giver goes back to a fine, windy day in August when I gave myself permission and chose writing as my medium.
This year, I clocked 13 years of blogging, which started on WordPress.
Having given more than a decade to writing, in return, I received a treasure trove of enriched experiences of readers, in which knowledge was shared, perspectives shifted mindsets, humour brightened up someone’s day, some post offered hope to those who quietly sought it, and to some it was a total life transformation, all this and counting and I remain still on a perpetual abundant receiving mode.
Giving with Abundance
— -It starts with an intention, and then it requires you to uphold the respect and dignity of the one receiving it; this transcends your giving tenfold into a lofty act rather than a mere transaction.
— -When you are a giver, you are well aware and fully realise that you are a cog in the wheel of time, which also receives from other givers, all working in tandem in a perfect cycle.
— -When you are a giver, you are a means to take ahead what needs to be forwarded in the journey of time, and when you are a receiver, the giver follows the same principle.
— You give, step back, and your job is completed with no attachment and expectations.
— You are the giver, and the receiver, and the roles keep shifting
— Abundance is an outcome of intention; however, none of us can control it.
Giving and receiving are like a pass-the-parcel game that has continued since we arrived in the world and will go on long after we are gone.
Most of us are under the misconception that giving is only possible when we have enough, while what’s actually true is that you were always enough, you had enough, and you gave enough!
When you give something away- money, time, care, or knowledge- it leaves your hands, but it doesn’t disappear. It gets preserved as a noble deed, with God.
What you hold onto your wealth, your things, your time kept for yourself- you only have it for as long as you’re alive. Then it’s gone. You can’t take it with you.
& What you give is the only thing that truly remains.
So go, give with Abundance.
Warmly,
Mehnaz Amjad.
