How to Break the monotony

On one end, we are all asked to follow a routine, on the other end, routines are boring, thus we are often caught up in a confused state oscillating between the spectrums of what’s right and what’s perfectly right.

When I find myself in the monotony of routine, hitting a space where I find myself running short on ideas, topics and even my own knowledge gathered over several years, which wants to lazily lie in the deep recess of my mind, refusing me any aid, here’s what I did.

I broke the routine, and let a few days simply slip by, in these, nothing to do days, I sat at my terrace and watch the moss-laden encroached pond, behind my residence, letting the time move in its natural flow.

Here’s a glimpse into a few silent moments drawn from my many hours of long episode of silence and deep reflection.

The pond behind our residence

Moments of silence, not only helped me slow down a bit but brought back many answers to what I was in search of for a very long time.

Next time, you find yourself caught up in a monotony of routine, give yourself a break and a few minutes of deep silence and reflection.

Remember all answers are inside you !

Life is a balance of holding on and letting go!
