When we search for reasons, our Work lack fulfillment.

During a coaching session with my Coach, I was working on an assignment which was to do with little bit of Time management and the concept of fulfillment .

While responding to some of the questions, I found I could not recollect any cherished memories of the past 8 years at a given particular job in my career, where despite the fact that this particular job window gave me the most accolades, and rewards.

Today, as I was doing the assignment, nothing seemed relevant to me.

The realisation of working as a machine with not a single incident of joy in a span of eight years was daunting.

Lot of emotions surfaced up as I struggled to recollect good times from this particular phase.

The memories that surfaced up were all about, I worked and worked, I worked all winters, all summers, all seasons!

Sitting with what I found , I decided to take a mindful break, and just sat with it .

The Epiphany

The silence pointed me towards my futile attempts of trying to escape my problems through work!

No wonder, every void was filled with nothing but work. This went to the extent that there was no more work left to fill the abyss that stared me in the eye, and I grappled desperately in search of another job to do the needful.

Let’s turn it around

I want to ask you if you are reading this blog post, are you like me in search of something, but are seeking an escape in the name of work, and therefore feel stuck and disengaged both in life and at work.

Then

I recommend you do the following.

I look forward to hearing back from you, what did your “Silence” conveyed silently.

“Silence isn’t empty it is full of Answers”.
